I cant believe as I write this there are LESS THAN 90 days left this year? How is that possible? Where did the time go?! I'm not looking forward to winter temperatures.. but I am looking forward to the Holiday's! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas time! My sister-in-law and her fiance are also coming home in December (they live in Australia) and I can't wait to see them! And we're quite possibly about to start a major renovation on our house - more to come on that later! But enough about me.. LOL. You're here to see what's going on in Regina Real Estate for the month of September. ;)
So let's dive right in shall we! Sales in Septmber came roaring in! WOW! Although higher then last years, or even the year before, they were still lower then the 5 year average. It's hard to say if this is a random occurence or if Regina's market is seeing more buyers out and about buying homes. Our YTD sales are still higher then last year but still lower then the 5 year average, too. Homes are taking on average about 2 months or so to sell - depending on your home, neighbourhood, etc., it could be more or less. Inventory levels have remained consistent around the 1400 mark throughout the year. It's still high - especially in areas like Harbour Landing (122 active listings as of today!) and I don't see that changing too much over the next year. With all that said, we're still seeing the composite benchmark go down. But remember, it's all relative - if you're selling low, you're also buying low, too.
